Davoud graduated from the School of Foreign Service in 2021 with a major in Regional Studies of the Middle East and a minor in Persian. Having grown up with an Iranian father but having no exposure to Persian language as a child, Davoud was always interested to learn in order to build a stronger connection to his heritage as well as to help him in his study of the region. Having access to the many dedicated professors in the department both in the classroom and at extracurricular events such as Persian corner helped him achieve these goals as well as building an even stronger passion for Iranian history and politics. After graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors, Davoud now works for a climate change focused start-up called Gro Intelligence and continues to use Persian in his personal life to speak with family as well as to keep up to date with Persian-language news sources on Iran’s political developments.
